Animalkind Foundation was born from a simple belief — that every animal, wild or domestic, deserves safety, dignity, and a chance to thrive.
Our mission
The Animalkind Foundation is dedicated to creating a kinder world for every animal. We protect companion animals and wildlife through rescue, care, advocacy, education, and conservation. From helping animals in need and supporting the people who care for them to protecting wildlife and the habitats they depend upon, we work to prevent suffering, preserve life, and build a world in which all animals are treated with compassion and respect.
Our founders
Where Compassion Became a Calling
For Eli Abasi, a connection to animals has been a constant throughout his life — beginning in his childhood backyard and deepening through his experiences living alongside animals well into adulthood.
For a period of his life, Eli lived on a large property surrounded by nature, where encounters with wildlife became part of everyday life.
Living alongside them offered Eli an intimate view of a world that often goes unnoticed.
For Safora Nowrouzi, that same conviction comes from a different direction.
As an attorney, Safora has spent her career understanding how laws, institutions, and advocacy can be used to protect those who cannot always protect themselves.
Together, Eli and Safora founded The Animalkind Foundation around a shared belief that compassion should not depend on species or circumstance.
Whether it is a companion animal needing veterinary care, an abandoned pet searching for a safe home, an injured wild animal needing rehabilitation, or wildlife losing the habitat it depends upon, Animalkind exists to help bridge the gap between caring about animals and taking meaningful action to protect them.
Why we exist
Animalkind Foundation grew from a simple belief: too many animals fall through the cracks between the people and organizations working to help them. Companion animals need safe homes and access to care. Wildlife needs protection, rehabilitation, and healthy habitats. Rescuers and caregivers often need resources and support. And communities need better tools to protect and coexist with the animals around them. We created Animalkind Foundation to help bridge those gaps — bringing together animal rescue and care, wildlife conservation, education, and advocacy with one shared purpose: to create a kinder world for every animal. We are at the beginning of that journey, but our vision is ambitious: a world in which compassion extends to animals in our homes, in our communities, and in the wild — and where every life has the opportunity to be protected, cared for, and valued.
